Mother Nature threw everything she had at race-goers at the Elkridge-Harford Pt-to-Pt this past Saturday, April 9th. Snow, sleet, rain, hail, pretty much every form of precipitation one could imagine.  There was even a rainbow over the course at the end of the day.  Class Brahms wasn’t put off by the soft going at the Monkton, MD point-to-point.  Trained by Tara Elmore and owned by Rosbrian Farm, Class Brahms bested a field of five in the Edward S. Voss Memorial Open Timber race.  Piloted by Gus Dahl, the bay son of Brahms challenged Spencer Road in the stretch and dominated him by 1 1/2 lengths.  Irish-bred import Hunt Ball made his timber debut in the George C. Clement Memorial Novice Timber.  The Atlantic Equine entry piloted by Mark Beecher easily dominated the field of three entries by four lengths.

In other timber divisions, Forrest Kelly rode and trained his own Monstaleur to victory in the Ann L. McIntosh Memorial    Heavyweight Timber and Lia McGuirk piloted Brother Sy for trainer Todd Wyatt and owner Armata Stables to the win in the The Babe Saportas Amateur Apprentice Timber.

Rider Gus Dahl claimed his second and third wins in the flat race divisions on Elizabeth Voss trained entries Holiday Queen and Unsinkable.  Whatdidyousee ridden and trained by Ivan Dowling won the final race of the day, the amateur flat division.
