Game Tips:
- After you register, be sure to check challenges daily. Most of the location based challenges have particular days and times when the challenge will be unlocked and available. You will not be able to view challenges until they unlock.
- Plan ahead! Many of the challenges are located in clusters so you can visit a few at a time. Many of the challenge locations are situated in beautiful areas where you will probably want to take in some local sights and grab a bite to eat.
- Share the chase with family and friends. While the Chase doesn’t accept team registrations, individuals can certainly enjoy the chase together in groups! Travel in a herd, just like horses do!
- Wear appropriate clothing when visiting physical chase locations. You will be at a barn so party dresses and heels are not a good idea, you will want to wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting a little dirty. You will want to wear closed toe shoes, like a boot or sneakers, as well. Spring often means mud at horse farms so plan for that!
- Identify yourself when you arrive at chase locations. Most of the locations have daily business activities going on and while they know to expect you, it is helpful to identify yourself as a chase participant so they can guide you in the challenges.
- Remember that location based challenges are geo specific so you will need to enter your answer before you move on to the next challenge.
- Go beyond the basic challenge questions! The Horse Discovery Centers are ready and willing to share more with you and answer your burning horse questions.
- Take photos, share them with us on social media and have a great time! On Twitter @MdEquines or on Facebook – MarylandHorseIndustryBoard
- Complete the web based challenges! They point to horse history in our state and lead you to discover even more locations!
