ATTENTION: The Maryland Junior Hunt Cup will NOT be run this year.
For the better part of two decades, the Maryland Junior Hunt Cup (JrHC) has presented juniors and young riders in the mid-Atlantic region with opportunities to participate in and to understand steeplechase racing. Hundreds of horses, ponies, and children have come under the starters flag and have felt the thrill of the race.
Like most everything, these activities are cyclical. As such, it appears that now is an appropriate time for the JrHC to take a break. Going forward thoughts and efforts are always appreciated.
