There have been a few changes to the Maryland Steeplechase Association 2015 conditions book.  Please refer to the National Steeplechase Association’s Condition Book for sanctioned races.

My Lady’s Manor Steeplechase
The conditions in the MSA Condition Book for the My Lady’s Manor Steeplechase for the last race (The Schapiro) are incorrect and do not correspond with the NSA Condition Book. The weight (175) is incorrect and there is an allowance for riders who have never won a race. The corrected conditions for that race are as follows:

(Amateur Apprentice Timber)
Purse $10,000. Timber. For Five-Year-Olds and Upward which

have not won $9,000 once in 2014-2015. To be ridden by amateur apprentice riders. 170 lbs. Non-winners over timber, allowed 5 lbs. Riders who have never won a race, allowed 5 lbs. No other rider allowances. Entry fee $50; $50 additional if not scratched on time Wednesday; with $100 additional to start.  Three Miles over Timber.

$5,000 of this purse, and an engraved goblet to the rider, have been donated by the National Steeplechase Foundation, for the promotion of amateur racing.  The owner of the winner will receive the Perpetual Trophy donated by the late Hermen and Monica Greenberg, to be held for one year, as well as a trophy for permanent possession.
