Many thanks to the Masters of Elkridge-Harford for making the day possible, to particularly thank Joe Davies and Ashton Williams for helping to organize the course, and to Shockey Gillet and Eric Poretz for leading the mock field master chases. With a nice mix of adults and juniors, made horses and green horses, there were approximately 40 rounds over the courses. If you missed this unique foxchaser schooling day, don’t worry! We will have more! (For videos, please visit our Facebook page.)

This weekend kicks off the run for the $1,000 MSA Hunter Trail Triple Crown with this Saturday’s Hundred Acre Field Hunter Trial, and includes Elkridge-Harford Hunter Trails on Oct. 20th, concluding with Green Spring Valley on Oct. 27th (see MSA website for links). Points are earned in the 3’ Open Hunter Classes. Riders may make multiple trips in each class (one round per horse), but only the rider’s highest score will count (regardless of the horse). The winner will receive $750 plus a custom cooler by Fenwick Equestrian, for a total value of $1,000 – and we hope to see all participants in the Hunter Trial Triple Crown join us next spring in the Governor’s Cup Field Master Chases!

This series is made possible by Mid-Atlantic Farm Credit, Fenwick Equestrian and private supporters.
