Charlie started riding out in the medium pony races in 2015, graduating to junior horse races by 2017, and earning Leading Junior Horse Rider of the Year in 2018. Charlie rode in his last pony race in spring of 2019 at Green Spring, and by the fall of 2019, he was riding in amateur claimings at Laurel. On January 1, he turned pro and now he is in third place in the winter meet standings! Congratulations, Charlie, on your moment in the sun, and thanks for letting us share in your sunshine! Our friends at The Racing Biz published this nice article; enjoy!
